Overview

What is Stellar Elite? Basically secret agents in space! I say it's "not that deep" when I explain it to people. However as time wears on and the world changes (drastically) around us, I realize there is more I want to explore with this story than initially thought.It started as a few of my favorite things like the Sound of Music song. Sci-Fi and fantasy, espionage, an unhealthy obsession with the military industrial complex, and the paranormal. Specific inspirational media includes Star Trek, X Files, Bladerunner, Alien, Terminator, The Expanse, Ghost in the Shell, and Mass Effect, and I’m sure there are more but these are my main jams.

Theme

This is a work in progress so it’s hard to perfectly state the overarching premise without that sneaky possibility of indecision down the line. “All is not as it seems” is where I’m hanging my hat for now. The story will explore paranoia, fractured realities, questioning of loyalyies, and the importance of camaraderie. I’m making alot of lists trying to explain this!

Format

As stated earlier I’m pretty heavily inspired by 90s TV series especially Star Trek. I’ve spent a lot of time “world building” thinking up names of planets, media agencies, fashion companies, government agencies, ancient civilizations, and it goes on like that. Once I started going beyond the character drawings I realized it was probably time to start an actual project. Regardless of whether or not I consider myself a writer. So the format for this will be Stellar Elite as a place, while I tell little episodic sequential shorts within the world. There will be an overarching storyline that will string the episodes and the theme together, and eventually maybe volumes!
